The energy-efficient NG8POE-1 network switch connects up to eight devices to a Gigabit Ethernet network and allows them to communicate with each other. It's recommended for your home network, small office, workgroup or creative production environment. It helps you share large bandwidth-intensive files, such as CAD drawings and videos, at Gigabit (1000 Mbps/1 Gbps) speeds, improving efficiency and cutting costly downtime.

Maximum Network Functionality

The NG8POE-1 features eight twisted-pair RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet ports that support auto-negotiable 10/100/1000 Mbps and auto MDI/MDIX functionality, so crossover cables and uplink ports are not needed for connections to PCs, routers and other switches. No configuration is required, so you can have your Gigabit network up and running immediately. IEEE 802.3x flow control (full duplex) and back pressure (half duplex) allow smooth transmission of large files.

Supports Power over Ethernet to Save You Money and Give You More Installation Choices

Because this network switch supports PoE, it can supply the power to operate compatible PoE devices, such as wireless LAN access points and bridges, VoIP phones and/or IP video cameras. This saves you the expense and effort of purchasing, connecting and installing individual power supplies for each device. It also helps you install PoE devices in areas far away from AC outlets, such as poles or ceilings. Eight RJ45 ports support up to 30W each with a total PoE budget of 60W when using the included AC power adapter.

Complies with IEEE Energy Efficient Ethernet Standards

The NG8POE-1 supports IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standards by automatically shifting unused ports into a low-power state without interrupting network connections. It also meets IEEE 802.3ab, 802.3i and 802.3u standards.

VLAN Mode

?The NG8POE-1 features port isolation, also referred to as "Private VLAN." It isolates all ports from each other and only allows access to the uplink port, which increases privacy. This is useful in VLAN applications such as hotels, where each room has access to the internet, but rooms are prevented from accessing one another.
